I do lots of school visits every year, and believe that they can be a time of learning, inspiration and fun for students. From preschoolers through high schoolers, it is a thrill to encourage kids and teens to read and write through sharing my own story. Using slides, Powerpoint, props and other visuals, I give students a chance to explore what it means to be a writer. I also show the process of how a simple idea one day can develop into a picture book at Barnes and Noble a few years later. The presentations are highly interactive, geared to each grade level, and include a time for questions. We have a wonderful time together!
